Jose Bautista had an amazing month of August and as a result he has been named the American League Player Player of the Month.

The Blue Jays outfielder led the American League in Home Runs (12), Runners Batted In (24), Slugging Percentage (.724) and in Total Bases (72). Jose was tied for the lead with 18 extra base hits.

The Toronto Blue Jays were shut down on Wednesday again by Rays starting pitcher David Price. David Price is now 4-0 with a 0.58ERA against the Jays this season and is 6-0 with a 1.93ERA in his career vs Toronto. This was the 3rd matchup this season between Marcum and Price but this time Marcum got a no decision. Marcum pitched 6 innings allowing only 1 run before leaving the game with a sore neck as a result an amazing play he made earlier to get a forceout at home.

Toronto (69-63) is off on Thursday and then travels to New York (83-50) where Brandon Morrow will make his final start of the season against Ivan Nova.

The Toronto Blue Jays rebounded from their night of errors and exploded with 10 runs in the 6th inning. Jose Bautista hit his 43rd home run of the season and had 4 RBI's on the evening increasing his season total to 103. Aaron Hill and John McDonald also went deep hitting their 21st and 5th home runs respectively.

Shaun Marcum and David Price are the starters for Game 3 of the series which is scheduled for 7:10pm eastern time. The Jays look to beat up on Price for the first time this season as he is currently 3-0 with a 0.39ERA against Toronto in 2010. The Toronto Blue Jays lost game 1 of their 3 game series to Tampa Bay on Monday night by a final score of 6-2. Errors played a big role in tonights game for the Jays as they made 3 of them and led to Tampa scored 4 unearned runs. Aaron Hill hit a solo homerun which was his 20th of the year but it wasnt enough.
